My Bio
Hi there everyone, I'm Stu. I'm a student in Graphic Design and currently in my second year. Been using Photoshop/Illustrator for about 4-5 years now and loving every second of learning new techniques and styles. I'm mainly attracted to very contemporary design and my favourite era is Art Deco. Recently I'm trying to broaden my skills by trying out new things, especially artwork which I've rarely played around with. When finishing my education, I want to specialise in Logo Design as it absolutely fascinates me with how some designers go about creating such memorable and cool logos.

You can follow me on Twitter if you like, and if you're a design nut like myself...I might just follow you back :)

You can find me at lifeincolour

One thing that always depresses me about writing these journals is that much time might have passed between each entry, but I've not exactly been upto much since the last time. One thing that always seems to be a downfall for me is that I go through phases of constantly wanting to do work and do anything to get a project done as I'm so into it.  All of the rest of the time I have zero motivation and even the sight of Illustrator or Photoshop bouncing up and down on the dock as they open sicken me.  I'm not sure if that's a worrying thing for a designer to experience or not, but it makes me feel pretty low when I don't feel like doing the thi

One thing I've noticed in life recently is that everything seems to be travelling at a thousand miles an hour, and isn't giving any signs that it's going to slow down anytime soon.  Usually when life goes as fast as it currently is, I would be terrified and feeling extremely pressured.  I've somehow managed to remain calm through everything though and glad the way everything is headed, in both my personal life as well as my career ideas. After a couple of the worst months of my life have gone by, with being at a creative low and losing my Pa, who was the most important thing in my life.  I have everything to thank on my Fiancé for manag

During my 5 years with messing around with graphic design and learning as much as possible about the Adobe Creative Suite, I've always stuck to creating somewhat simplistic logos/designs that always look sharp but still very safe.  A lot of this is not having enough confidence in my own work despite usually being well received by others and I'm personally drawn to very contemporary designs. However, during the past month or so, I've been trying to enhance my skills even more as a designer by trying to improve at digital painting, whether creating it as a bitmap in Photoshop or vector project in Illustrator.  I've been really excited about be
